Herbario founders Vito Cozza and Valli Shubere established the clinic in Melbourne in 1988. The pair, each bring their extensive knowledge and a unique approach to their treatments and products. Herbario has been a pioneer of holistic therapies and active herbal skin care in Australia, creating an exclusive range of products and signature face & body treatments that have become globally recognised.

The guiding principal at Herbario is the integration of inner health and outer beauty. Our products and treatments are created by fusing European herbal medicine and nutritional science with holistic therapies.

Valli & Vito’s curiosity and enthusiasm continues to direct the clinic’s development, and their passion for the highest quality ingredients is alchemised into every product and service they share with their clients.

Valli’s vast wealth of knowledge in natural health and skin care has developed over 35 years of clinical practice, through her personalised trophotherapy (the science of healing by applied nutrition) and detoxification programs, alongside her range of world leading skin care treatments.

Valli’s insight in trophotherapy underpins her nutritional and botanical detoxification programs that address a vast range of health conditions and skin concerns.

Informed by decades of clinical practice in dermal therapy, Valli created a unique herbal therapy model, that combines the science of topical herbal medicine with her innovative massage techniques for face & body.

Described by Elle magazine as a “skin care guru”, Valli is one of Australia’s leading skin care specialists with an unparalleled understanding of dermal conditions and how to remedy them in a holistic way.

Highly sought after in Herbario’s home city of Melbourne, Valli has also garnered a devoted following both interstate and overseas for her treatments. Valli’s renowned Face Detox Treatment sees her working the skin’s complexion back to vitality with Herbario’s powerful herbal skin care formulations and her signature massage techniques.

Since 1977, Vito has practiced traditional European botanical medicine in clinical and industrial sectors, and in the internationally renowned Italian thermal springs. One of the few Spagyric Herbalists in the country, Vito is a true alchemist, tapping into the incredible healing power of what nature so generously provides.

Through his 40+ years of knowledge and experience in clinical practice and herbal craftsmanship, Vito has developed a comprehensive range of botanical therapeutic remedies for inner and outer health to deliver the healing properties of plants, through the tenets of traditional European herbal medicine.

He is also recognised as an early pioneer of holistic, herbal skin care in Australia, supporting local organic farmers of medicinal plants and producers of essential oils. He is renowned for his encyclopaedic knowledge of plants and herbs, and continues to consult at the clinic’s dispensary, developing herbal tinctures and preparations as well as directing the exacting production of Herbario’s product range.
